**jack, Ryan ten doeschate's average is 67 in ODIs, so does that make him the best ever ODI batsman to ever grace the game?? Dont just read the numbers, use your brains and see how they are made... Amla good player, no doubt, but like Anna Seth says below, the attack is what matters! and dont you ever forget the pressure of India V Pakistan game, if ur not from Ind or Pak, you wouldnt know how it feels.. Ind V Pak is always never just a game of cricket!

**Right. Then I suppose Perth was flat in '92 also. Melbourne '99. Adelaie '08. That's three centuries on other grounds. More than most players make in their careers when touring Australia.

**yes the should've won the 2007 test series against the aussies.. india's top 3 batsmen were in terrific form back then..

**True, buddy !Though Hashim Amla is a great batsman without a doubt,Sachin Tendulkar is and will always be the best batsman ever produced in the game of cricket ..

**lol show me one batsmen, bowler , fielder , commentator who rates amla greater then tendulkar . .Can amala himself rate to be better then tendulkar . The funniest part of sachin's critics is they pick up numbers to show is a ordinary players. If nos is what u r talking abt then sachin has 100 100's and 35,000 . More 100's then pakistan;'s team lol . And for the records i like amla as well .

**plz dont tell anybody's name from south africa...coz they hv always been chokers in multi-nation tournaments....amla is no whr near sachin

**abe bhikhmange chutiye porkistani..madarasa chaap gandu..thik se likhana toh sikh katuye...gali sikhau kya tuze chinal ke?and yes we are bloody indians and our blood is pure..tu kaun si nasal ka hai be rand ke??arab ka??waha tuz jaiso ko koi mooh tak nahi lagata sala converted kahin ka

**Compare their span as well dude...Tendulkar has played way more number of matches than Amla. Maintaining consistency for long time is what matters most. Come back to us when Amla plays 400 ODIs and show us where he stands.

**Great players cannot be unfit. THen they are not great just good. And the point is that can those players actually still do well in their facet of the game for a long time. Dravid and Sachin could both do that. They played for over 15 years and over 20 in Sachin's case. So they are undoubtedly fit. I'm not doing jaijaikar. I'm appreciating Paksitan's conveyor belt of fast bowlers and great bowlers. India on the other hand has only produced one great fast bowler- Kapil Dev

**Teeth problem? Are you kidding me? That has to do with fitness? And try to understand something. Sachin was using a very heavy bat and therefore had an elbow problem. Over the years, he has been an excellent runner between wickets. In fact one of the very best runners between wickets.

**How is every team bad overseas? Hmmm lets see. West Indies won in every country in the world in their pomp. So did Australia. And now so has South Africa. Even India won in England, NZ, and WI and really should have won in Oz if it wasn't for Steve Bucknor. Anyways back to the main arument. Pakistani bowlers are much better than Indian bowlers. And our batsmen are much better than theirs. End of argument.

**west indies in 1970s or aussy team in 1990s are teams which are very rare so lets not talk about how they won cuz not every team can be like them..and about the main argument see thats what i dont like..by saying pakistani bowlers are better than indian bowlers you are just insulting greats like kapil dev, kumble, srinath and zaheer too..it is a team sport and it was never about pakistanis it was always about you criticising indian bowlers from root to tip

**In what world is Srinath a great? What world is Zaheer a great? Srinath and Zaheer avaeragaed above 30. Lets see if Indian bowlers are so great then why did on the recent tours of England and Australia did the opposing team amass over 500 and 600 so many times on seaming wickets in which we failed. For example, in Sydney we scored a meagre 191 on a track which was decking around. But then our bowlers let them get 691/4. Our bowlers are downright awful.

**see thats your problem...why call our bowlers names??and yes after kapil dev when india never had any fast bowler srinath was the one who won us many matches..same is with zaheer..and fine nobody cam perform each time but they did win us many matches...and i dont think you should call them awful cuz its a team sport sometimes a part time bowler takes 5 wicket and sometimes your premier bowler let you down..its all part of the game..at the end of the day they try 110% and thats what matter...

**Ok. India has produced mediocre bowelr upon mediocre bowler. Mainly it has been fast bowlers. I would agree that we have produced some really fine spinners. But my point is that Idnia's fast bowling is terrible. Zaheer was top notch for a period inbetween 2007-2010 but on an overall scale he was far from great. Other than Kapil Dev, we never really produced a great fast bowelr. And Kapil tarnished his image by hanging on way too long.

**see again..you are not understanding my whole point of debating with you for calling our indian bowlers by names and now you call them mediocre..zaheer is india's top most fast bowler after kapil dev and srinath..and kapil dev retired in 1994 at the age of 35..and he is the only cricketer who was fit for all his life .and about zahir you should know that fast bowlers always get injured...

**Also, Zaheer was supremely unfit and was an absolute joke of a fielder. Therefore, he cannot be a great cricketer. You should be fit to be a great cricketer. It's a sport so fitness is a must. No excuse for being unfit.

**again fast bowlers also suffer from injuries..and we all know that they are not top fielders as well.and there are many players who were unfit many times but are called great such as sachin.dravid, chris cains.chris harris and even steve waugh..

**Dravid and Sachin unfit? What world are you in? Rahul Dravid and Tendulkar were so meticulous about their routine and put hours into being fit. Both were very safe fielders and in fact Dravid could bat for hours and rarely suffered from injuries. While Tendulkar has played nearly 200 test matches and has been playing for 23 years and could still outrun Ashwin. You showed your lack of intelligence in that statement.

**my lack of intelligence??i think you showed your lack of cricketing knowledge as well as general Knowledge..sachin is out of the team many times due to injuries specially due to his tennis elbow and even dravid was our of the team a few times due to some teeth problem..and again be on point i am saying great players can be unfite and stop calling our indian bowlers by names and stop doing JAIJAIKAR of pakistanis and calling our great indian bowlers as mediocre and lame..

**Try to understand this. While Kumble played a lot more cricket on doctored pitches in the 90s when in the fourth innings playing fastish spin was nearly impossible.Qadir played on dead Pakistani tracks and he revived the art of legspin bowling. Spin bowling was dead for nearly two ecades and he single handedly brought it all back by himself on wickets around the world where fast bowlers dominated. PRetty much he amde spin sexy again. When in reality everyone was trying to be a fast bowler.
